Remember the days when you were a kid when it seemed like nothing was or would go the way you wanted it too? And because things were not what you had in mind you just felt like walking around with your head down all day.?.? And remember when mom or dad would say "Quit Pouting."?.?
I think no matter how old you get, we are still going to have those days. Now instead of hanging our heads over a cup of chocolate milk and cartoons we hang them over more "grown up" things.
I started off Monday that way. I totally missed my alarm, woke up late, went to make me some toast only to discover that the toaster was broken...no toast and jelly. And then to top things off when I arrived to work my laptop was infected with a virus that was not allowing me to do much of anything. Long story short I found myself wanting walk around with my head down for the day because things just were not what I had in mind for my Monday.
It's in these moments when we have to be reminded to Keep Our Head UP.
Psalm 3:3 "But you O Lord are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head."
When life throws a few unexpected curve balls your way, remember that your perfect Heavenly Father is right there saying "Hey quit pouting, I am the lifter of your head. Keep looking forward, keep pressing on, keep your eyes on me, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP."
